Part 1: Remove AZW DRM from Kindle Desk APP

Step 1: Login into your Kindle APP on Mac

Download Kindle APP on your Mac and access your Amazon account to login. Following interface will be showed to you once the AAP runs.

Before you start to remove the Kindle DRM, you must ensure that the eBook you want to convert has been downloaded in the library. So you can enter into your Kindle library to check them on the “Downloaded Items”. If the book you want to convert hasn’t been downloaded, you can double click on the cover or right click to “download”.

Tips: If you want to find downloaded books accurately, you can go for “Kindle>Preference”. You will see the downloaded directory in “Content Folder” on the new panel.

Step 2: Launch Prof. DRM for Mac

After you run Leawo Prof. DRM for Mac, choose eBook DRM Remover to import your Kindle files to the program. Since the types of DRM protection are different, please make sure you have entered into the right module.

Step 3: Add Kindle files to the program

After entering into the eBook DRM Removal module, a new box will pop up once you tap “Add file” button on the sub-menu. Or you can directly drag-n-drop these downloaded files into the frame of “Drag eBook Files Here”.

Step 4: Select the file you want to import

After tapping “Add Files” button, you will see the “Kindle” button on the left side bar. Just click the refresh icon , you will see all the downloaded books on the right frame. You can also import all the files or select a few of them by ticking the button beside the book.

Step 5: Set the output format

You can select one book to view the file’s information by this button. You can choose to click the “edit” button to freely choose the output format including epub, mobi, azw3, azw, kfx, prc, html, txt.

Step 6: Choose the output directory

On the bottom of the “Home” list, you can tap output button to select a path to save DRM-free output eBook.

Step 7: Remove DRM from Kindle eBook

Once all the settings are done, you can press the blue “Convert” button at the bottom for removing DRM from eBook in Kindle. And then you can convert to common format in seconds.

Step 8: Check the converted file

You can also check the converted file by tap the “Converted” button. Press the file and a file-like icon will show up. You can either click the icon to locate the converted file. Or you can just input a book’s name on the quick search box on the bottom to find the location.
