But why do we need to split files? Well, imagine you want to send a home video through e-mail and the file exceeds the size limit of the mail service. Here comes HJSplit into action. This application provides a fast and simple solution: to split the file into smaller equal junks that are under the limit size. The same goes if you want to upload a big file to fast sharing services. Just split the file to your desired length by using either Mbytes or Kbytes as the measuring unit. In order to rebuild the file, the receiver needs HJSplit to combine the files.
Besides the fact that is free, HJSplit is extremely easy to use. Although it doesn't feature a smart interface, its 4 functions represented by 4 buttons placed on the main window give the user the easiest way to access them.
